us at the opening of ‘Less is More’ at
6.30 PM on Friday 8 August, ‘Less is More’,
is a selection of work from the semester student exhibition.
This exhibition of selected work can now be enjoyed
spaciously installed in the quiet of gallery Nona.
This is in striking contrast to the highly successful
semester exhibition which featured hundreds of pieces
of work providing a busy spectacle for over four hundred
visitors on the opening night.
Also
not to be missed is the installation of a range of
perspex pieces by Wim de Vos. Although, semester 2
is now well underway and enrolments are closed, details
of the Spring workshop program will be available from
the end of August. If you enjoy Wim’s work,
he will be conducting a perspex construction workshop
as part of the Spring program in October.

BUILDING PROJECT
In addition to notification of new exhibitions and information about the classes and workshops, News is a great vehicle to let you know about other activities initiated by the BIA Committee. The Committee, led by Linda Back has received a Brisbane City Council grant to install building signage, conduct a mosaic project and create outdoor sculpture. The building signage is now in place and with the future addition of the mosaic and 3D work, the facility will soon start to show more creative art character.
