BIA Semester Classes start next week!

Enrolments are closing for Semester 1 classes.  

There are plenty of options if you want to get 2007 off to a creative
start.  

Check out over 50 day and night classes - there is bound to be something
to spark your interest.

offer, but be quick - some classes are already filling up!

Gallery NONA

We also invite you to start the New Year by visiting the exhibition in
our gallery and foyer where you will see some of the great work from
last year that students of the BIA produced.  However you'll need to be
quick as this exhibition comes down in week two! This exhibition
includes the painting 'Contemplation' by Leanne McCarthy which was the
winner of the 2006 Nona Metcalf award.  Congratulations to Leanne who
will be back again this year doing Painting 4 as part of this prize.

THURSDAY NIGHT NUDE

 

Helen Mason, Helen Creed and Ian Loom will be exhibiting some of their
life drawings at Gallery Nona, Brisbane Institute of Art. 
Opening night is 9th February, 2007 from 6pm - 8pm. 
The exhibition continues until 20 February, 2007, from 10am - 4pm,
Monday to Sunday.

 

                                            

 

The work shown was created at a life drawing group held on Thursday
evenings at the studio underneath St.Mary's church hall, Kangaroo Point.
Hence, the title 'Thursday Night Nude'.
