The visual allure of this collection is testament to the talents of the
artists - all past or present

students of the BIA, some of who have had successful solo exhibitions
and private commissions.

Ikebana Today is a beautiful coffee table book, published by Stichting
Kunstbeoke, Belgium.  This book is a compilation of Ikebana from all
over the world. Eighty Ikebana artists were selected to showcase a
myriad of Ikebana works in more than 200 large colour pages.

 



Lily Karmatz, Ikebana artist/tutor at BIA has three Ikebana works
selected in this book.  Karen Cougan, also from BIA, was the
photographer for Lily's Ikebana.

Lily Karmatz will be conducting an Ikebana workshop as part of our
Autumn Weekend Workshop Program. 
The 4 day workshop, which blends eastern traditions with contemporary
innovations,
will be conducted on consecutive Sundays in May (ie. the  6th, 13th,
20th & 27th of May).
